One of the smallest churches in Rome
The Church is located near the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill. Before entering the gate across the street from the Colosseum to go in the Roman Forum, turn left and walk up the hill to the top.
The church is dedicated to Saint Bonaventura, a Franciscan father. Cardinal Francesco Barberini had it built in 1675 next to a convent for the Franciscan Friars Minor. The church is among the smallest in Rome. The interior consists of one nave. Saint Bonaventura's tomb as well as San Leonardo from Porto Maurizio are held in the church.
